Recipe - Busha's Pineapple & Ginger Glazed Ham
- 1x12 lb boneless smoked ham
- 1 large sugar loaf pineapple cut into 1"chunks (canned pineapple can be substituted)
- 4 cups fresh pineapple juice 2 med. onions
- 2 cloves garlic - minced
- 1- 2 tbs fresh Jamaican ginger - minced
- 12oz Busha Browne's Pineapple & Ginger Preserve
- 2 tbs Teriyaki
Busha Browne's Pinapple Ginger Preserve is reminiscent of the tropics and is delicious on toast or used in elegant sauce, and desserts.
Bake ham in oven at 350° for 3 hours. Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly — remove skin. Retain 2 tbs of pan drippings and saute onion, garlic and ginger for 5 minutes. Add Busha Browne's Pineapple & Ginger Preserve, stir until it begins to soften and caramelize. Add pineapple juice and chunks along with Teriyaki. Allow to simmer for 15 minutes to allow flavours to combine. Baste ham all over and return to the oven at 425° for 1/2 hour. Continue to baste for the 1/2 hour. Sauce can also be used to dress the serving platter.
