Recipe - Busha's Banana Split & Orange Sauce
- 1 banana, halved lengthwise
- 1/2 pint vanilla ice cream
- 2 tbs Busha Browne's Burned Orange Marmalade
- 2 tbs Appleton Estate V/X Rum
- 2 tbs water
- 1 cup cashews / peanuts — chopped
- 2 sprigs fresh mint
Busha Browne's Burned Orange Marmalade is reminiscent of the tropics and is delicious on toast or used in elegant sauce, and desserts.
Bring to a simmer in a small sauce pan - Orange Marmalade, water and rum, along with 1 sprig of mint. Simmer 5 —10 minutes or until a syrupy sauce is achieved. In a large oval dish, place 3 —4 scoops of ice cream. Arrange the banana around the ice cream, generously drizzle warm orange sauce over top. Finish with chopped cashews and fresh sprig of mint for garnish
